Services

Our ultimate goal when working with a client individually is identifying the treatment approaches and interventions that will help you reach your treatment goals as timely as possible.  The most important resource to make this happens is you.  Our goal is to help you tap into your inherent strengths and utilize those strengths to break the cycle of thinking and behaviors that has led you to distress.

Groups

All groups are tailored to be age appropriate.  Groups are geared towards empowerment and emotional and physical safety.  Caregivers will receive a handout after each child or adolescent group to explain what was covered and how to support your child to utilize these empowerment skills.

  • First Saturday of each month:
    • “FireFlys” Highly Sensitive Child:  Elementary school-aged children will increase their understanding and develop a heightened sensitivity to other people and situations and will increase their ability to manage this gift effectively. Our group will help children apply relaxation and regulation techniques, change self-defeating patterns of fearful thinking, and learn assertive communication skills while strengthening and boosting confidence.
    • Middle School Resilience Group:  Middle school-aged children will interact together with the focus on the 7 C’s of resiliency: confidence, connection, character, competence, contribution, control, and coping.  This phase in development is like no other.  Empowering children with the tools to face adversity is a gift.
    • Young Men’s Resilience Group: Empowering high school young men with the tools to face adversity with the focus on the 7 C’s of resiliency: confidence, connection, character, competence, contribution, control, and coping.

  • Third Saturday of each month:
    • Positive Power Groups: Elementary age children will work together to strengthen their ability to communicate and problem solve effectively while managing their emotions. The goal of this group is to uplift the child’s confidence in their own inner power.

  • The following groups are currently inactive but please contact us for more information.

Give an Hour: I have joined the Give An Hour organization which is currently focusing on the psychological needs of military personnel and their families because of the significant human cost of the current conflicts. In addition to the physical injuries sustained, countless servicemen and servicewomen have experienced psychological symptoms directly related to their deployment. I am proud to be a member and help our veterans! Click Here To Learn More
