Groups

All groups are tailored to be age appropriate.  Groups are geared towards empowerment and emotional and physical safety.  Caregivers will receive a handout after each group to explain what was covered and how to support your child to utilize these empowerment skills. 

  • Inner Power Group: Elementary age children working together to strengthen their ability to communicate and problem solve effectively while managing their emotions. The biggest goal of this group is to uplift the child’s confidence of their own inner power. Click Here To Learn More

Work Shops

Children and Teens

  1. Healthy Relationships: 4 week workshop to increase awareness of healthy vs unhealthy relationships.
  2. Healthy Boundaries:  4 week workshop to increase awareness and practice of healthy vs unhealthy boundaries.
  3. Assertive Communication: 4 week workshop to increase awareness and practice of assertive communication.
  4. Effective Coping Skills: 4 -6 week workshop to increase awareness and practice of effective coping strategies.
  5. “FireFlys” Highly Sensitive Child: 6 week workshop for those assessed to meet group criteria.  Members will increase their understanding of a heightened sensitivity to other people and situations and increase their ability to manage this gift effectively. Click Here For More Info
  6. Empowerment with difficult people: 4-6 week workshop to learn how to feel and be confident despite the environment.  Members will practice their skills within the group setting.
  7. Homeschoolers Club: Workshops is led by Jessica Carr, LMHC and Amie Thomas, LMHC.  – Ongoing monthly workshop for those in an alternative academic setting. Click here To Learn More
  8. Adjustment to Change: 4-6 week workshop to support children and adolescents through a significant change.  They say “change is good” however most find it challenging.  Members will learn about the stages of change and how to transition smoothly towards acceptance and healthy adjustment.
  9. “I know I CAN” Group: 4-6 week workshop to train your brain to focus on strengths rather than challenges.

Adults

  1. Healthy Relationships: 6 week workshop to increase awareness of healthy vs unhealthy relationships  and how to move towards relationships you want.
  2. Healthy Boundaries: 6 week workshop to understand boundaries and how to practice in different types of relationships.
  3. Effective Communication: 4 week workshop to learn and practice how to communicate effectively regardless of the challenges. Click Here For More Info
  4. Stress Management: 6 week workshop to understand stress and gain cognitive and behavioral tools to manage stress effectively.
  5. Highly Sensitive Adult: 8 week workshop for those assessed to meet group criteria.  Members will increase their understanding of a heightened sensitivity to other people and situations and increase their ability to manage this gift effectively.

Adult Anxiety and Animal Assistance:  Assessment and 6 week anxiety awareness and skill building with your animal companion.  A letter can be developed to recommended pet assistance if deemed clinically appropriate.

Give an Hour: I have joined the Give An Hour organization who are currently focusing on the psychological needs of military personnel and their families because of the significant human cost of the current conflicts. In addition to the physical injuries sustained, countless servicemen and servicewomen have experienced psychological symptoms directly related to their deployment.
